Wexford

Hook Lighthouse is a medieval lighthouse off the south coast of County Wexford which is thought to be one of the oldest operational lighthouses in the world. The lighthouse was built in the thirteenth century and it was William Marshal, the Earl of Pembrokeshire, who was responsible for building it.
